Pompom making

Aunty Meg and Uncle Patrick gave me a box to make pompoms, so I thought I would make them to go with the woven square.

Here is how you make it.  You will need... lots of wool, a pompom maker and scissors.

Start with winding some wool around two of the pompom makers.  Like this....

Then do the same to the other side.  Then join them together and cut around one then cut around the other.

Tie together with some wool like this, take the pompom maker off and trim the ends.

Now you have your very own beautiful puffy pompom.  And you can make as many pompoms and woven squares as you like.  I made a mobile out of mine which I am going to hang in my room for decoration.  Here is a picture of it.

My first project

I did this project for my news for 2P.  I hope you like it.

Just follow the instructions and you can make your own.

We made a cross with two sticks which we tied together. Then we weaved lots of different colours onto the sticks like this.

Changing the wool colour is quite tricky so you might want your mum and dad to help you with this bit.

When you have finished make a loop so you can hang it on to something.  You can also make some pompoms to go with your woven square.  On the next page I will show you how to make a pompom.
